FIFA Womens Cup 2011 Postponed
Few remarks on this year's rumble in the world's women division of football, which took place before the holiday season and as a matter of bad luck started earlier for one or the other favourite team. Exactly, that's what all sports is about besides the option of a title won, shit happens! And if the opponent has just a bit more luck, he was better in terms of scoring points. No difference in women's football, with the only exception of slow motion, which is less useful since not necessary.
Really rather few to tell about, the tournament anyway was pretty interesting and showed how much the womens division developed during a couple of years only. As far as, now past, defender germany is concerned, the sudden death was more or less the trainer's responsibility. It's somehow unbelievable that players still allow trainers to behave an authoritarian style and such that it becomes public. For sure germany could have get further when the team's captain would have played the quarter final. There's reason to raise the question if there is a big dissence between Sylvia Neid and the team as a whole, or if she can be able to build up new, again competitive, national teams. Doubts are big, as from the fan's perspective there is not much to raise hope, and which could be more stupid than treating your captain like?! So to be serious maybe only once, Diego Maradona would be a candidate for the Bundestrainer's chair worth thinking about.
A highlight in between was a change of shirts, regular in men's matches, rarely seen when women play. But it was part of the championship, good promotion for sure as more men maybe watching in the future although the wonderbras didn't fall. And as we are talking about, weren't there attractive players around? Take the american goalie for example, sweet her, wasn't she?
The match of USA against Brasil showed the real story about south-american football pretty well and one more time. It was already mentioned that slow motions are not required when it comes to women playing football. The pattern is as simple as, that regular (samba-) moves start with a foul, of course almost the one and only way to get into charge of the ball and all in order to dance a bit. The womens variant is not as quick, certain technical details and hidden characteristics of the sports can be seen quite a lot easier. Expressed a bit different, a stretched leg, which shall be helpful to get control of the ball, some steps taken from the dancing discipline, and that's what they think is called football. The own goal produced does not even need to be mentioned anymore, we are awaiting more of.
Banner for Männer. "Say no to racism" - fine invention, really! And for god's sake it has nothing to do with racism calling the sugarhat's football style what it is, does it? Because for sure the very is a crappy try to legalize their kickboxing against opponents. And to be honest, personally, brazilian women can look pretty cute. Just remember those having won in Japan and USA.
By the way, the final match had another surprising outcome. Japanese women won by penalty shot-out against the yankee girls. Remarkable beyond everything else and how it was a match worth a world cup, there was the sending-off in extra-time's last minute against japan, with the very problem, that the japanese defender touched the ball first, not the opponent. Usually we thought that's what the sports is all about, kicking the ball. The german referee was wrong however didn't it change anything on a deserved championship for Japan.
Congrats für Schlitz im Schritt.
